The New Testament church was foundationally apostolic in that they embraced an apostolic mandate to advance the Kingdom of God to every city and nation in the power of the Spirit and to make disciples of the nations. Today, we are called to build on the foundation of the apostolic (See Eph. 2:20, 4:11; 1 Cor. 12:28). There are at least 7 Essential Shifts we must enact to truly become and apostolic church in the 21st Century.
