The Lord is initiating a profound purification within His Church, one that recalls the Apostle Paul's powerful metaphor in 2 Timothy 2:20-22 about vessels in a great house. Just as some vessels are set apart for noble purposes through cleansing, God is now preparing His Church for an unprecedented outpouring of His glory and power.
The Biblical Foundation of Divine Purification
To understand the current movement of God, we must first grasp the biblical principle of divine purification. In 2 Timothy, Paul explains that "in a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for special purposes and some for common use. Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work." This scripture provides a framework for understanding God's present work in His Church.
The prophet Jeremiah received a similar commission, as recorded in Jeremiah 1:10: "See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant." This dual process of removing what doesn't align with God's purposes while simultaneously building and planting what does perfectly illustrates the Lord's current work in His Church.
The Prophetic Timeline: From 1987 to Present
In 1987, David Minor received a significant prophetic word that now appears particularly relevant to our time. This prophecy spoke of two distinct moves of the Holy Spirit that would sweep through the Church. The first wind, identified as "HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD," represents a divine purification process. This purifying wind, rather than being a destructive force, serves to cleanse and realign church structures with God's original intentions.
